Hi, Leon here, your Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Following Albus's suggestion, DADA will be split mainly into two groups: Beginners and Advanced. Beginners will learn the basics of DADA, standard spells, etc. While Advanced will delve into further spells, like learning how to fend of dementors, and such. If you are a first, second, or third year, you can sign up for Beginner's DADA. If you are fourth, fifth, or sixth, you can sign up for Advanced. Seventh years will be taught the finer points of dueling, although I'm sure that Albus will do a fine job in the dueling club. The seventh year is basically the year where you polish off your hexes and other spells, and then present them to me head-on in a duel. So, if you'd like to sign up, please use the following form:
Name: Year: Reason for taking DADA:
Pretty simple eh?

Name: Anise Paravel Year: Fifth Reason for taking DADA: I'm not quite as competent as some of my age when it comes to Defense Against the Dark Arts and usually just barely pass this class. I want to improve myself and if I just stop taking the class I know I most likely never will.

Very good, very good. Miss Paravel, you will be put in the beginner class with Mr. Wade first, since you are hesitant about you're abilities in this subject. As you both progress, there will be chances to advance, of course. If you have any questions...please send me an owl.

Well, in the beginner's class you will learn the fundamentals of defence (obvious eh?) like, Expelliarmus(sp? I'm typing this at 12 a.m.), how to be rid of boggarts, and basic pointers if you ever find yourself being attacked by a Dark Wizard. But first, I'd like to test the both of you. If you please, I shall see you both in the DADA board.

M'kay. You spelled Expelliarmus right, by the way.
